The workwear Valhalla of Dave’s NY, a crossroads of boots, beanies, and boiler suits located in New York City’s Chelsea district, is one of the last great, independent traders in a city awash with corporate mediocrity. Founded by US Army veteran Dave Levy in 1963, and operated by his sons, and their sons, Dave’s has been armouring the city’s workforce for over half a century.
After all, it’s “the label, the labor, the color, the shade” that tells the story of a garment, as Robert Pinsky has it in his poem “Shirt.” The 032c x Dave’s NY collaboration was constructed on a trans-Atlantic assembly line – from the renegade Gildean stock that powers the signature Dave’s NY tee, to the custom applications dreamed up in our Kreuzberg workshop.
Available in black, neon orange, and neon yellow, the 032c x Dave’s NY t-shirt features a red 032c insignia embroidered over the classic Dave’s NY logo, both of which conceal an open-handed glove printed across the back. It’s a tribute to one of our favourite stores, and to getting shit done.
A maximum of one t-shirt is available per customer.
