“If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn’t do it.” — Andro Wekua (032c, Issue 27)
In past years, 032c has dedicated twofeatures and one exhibition to untangling the work of the Georgia-born, Berlin-based artist Andro Wekua, whose visions read as corrupted transmissions. For his installation at the 032c Vitrine in 2015, Wekua presented a sculpture of a platinum blonde girl riding a black wolf, a tranquil demigoddess from the near future, or perhaps a hallucination of a “distant present.” The sculpture was accompanied by a silk artist’s print, commissioned by 032c: a glitched illustration on a square of luminous pink.
It’s now available to order: an art edition disguised as a foulard. A sumptuous throw, from some scratched dimension. An errant signal, printed on non-violent silk.
100% organic cocoon silk, printed using non-toxic methods
An edition of 20, each is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
