032c
The Selfie Sweater is a 032c phenomenon: a viral emblem of belonging and a staple across the community. For Curated Editions, it has become a shared canvas. Selected artists and knitters have been invited to reinterpret the piece within their own practice, resulting in one-of-a-kind collector’s pieces.
Andrew Yates reworks the iconic 032c Selfie Sweater with an experimental, hand-knitted approach. Each row, stitch, and thread is combined intuitively, allowing the sweater to take shape as a sculptural process instead of a fixed design.
Working with found yarns, Andrew mixes materials to create a new yarn with a mouliné appearance. Dropped stitch laddering and hanging threads introduce a slightly distressed texture, while the 032c logo appears in its classic red—partially unreadable, with a raw, punk energy. The texture recalls the static of old television screens from the 1990s, referencing a time before social media.
